Justin Blackmon was one of the most dominant wide receivers in college football during his time at Oklahoma State University, earning back-to-back Biletnikoff Awards (2010, 2011) as the nation’s top wide receiver—a feat achieved by only a few in history. His rare combination of strength, athleticism, and route-running ability made him a nightmare for defenses and a key factor in the Cowboys' rise to prominence.

In his sophomore season in 2010, Blackmon burst onto the scene, recording 111 receptions for 1,782 yards and 20 touchdowns, leading the nation in all three categories. His ability to make acrobatic catches and rack up yards after the catch earned him unanimous All-American honors and his first Biletnikoff Award. That year, he set an NCAA record with 12 consecutive games of 100+ receiving yards and a touchdown, cementing his status as a game-changer.

Blackmon followed up in 2011 with another incredible campaign, tallying 122 receptions for 1,522 yards and 18 touchdowns, helping Oklahoma State achieve a 12-1 record and a victory in the Fiesta Bowl, the program's first-ever BCS bowl win. His standout performance in the Fiesta Bowl—8 receptions for 186 yards and 3 touchdowns—earned him the game’s Offensive MVP honors. He once again received unanimous All-American honors and claimed his second Biletnikoff Award, becoming one of the most celebrated players in college football history.

Blackmon declared for the NFL Draft after his junior season and was selected 5th overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the 2012 NFL Draft. While his professional career faced challenges, his college legacy remains a testament to his immense talent and impact on the game. Blackmon’s dominance, records, and role in elevating Oklahoma State to national relevance ensure his place as one of the greatest receivers in college football history.
